Things to be Thankful and Prayerful About
The lack of "excitement" in the way of drama is the thing I am thankful for.  The things
that we are most prayerful about, however, and has become the most exciting thing in
our life to date, is the growth of our new business with
USANA Health Sciences. We are
navigating the learning curve, and working and growing the business at the same time.
We have managed to secure a residual income for ourselves already, even in such a
short time, and this will be the foundation for our drive to retirement.  In the next months,
between now and November, we have the goal of matching Glen's current income and
preparing for the huge transition out of the Coast Guard, which will happen next July.
Glen has spent 20 years as an officer of the USCG, and now he feels ready to make a
change into the world of business ownership, a dream that he has always held.  We are
thrilled to be a part of USANA, a company that we have observed to be of the highest
integrity and quality, and we are excited to participate in the vision of the company.  It is
our prayer that we can share this vision of health and financial freedom with everyone
who will receive it, and that we can transition out of the Coast Guard into full time USANA
business.  You can visit our
business website and see what we're all about!

Another big change is that Kelly has "retired" from serving as a La Leche League leader
in our community.  That time slot has been more than filled, however, by joining the
leadership team of the mom's group at church.  That position is just as fun, and a little
more demanding, but well worth the time.

The kiddos continue to grow and amaze us and are doing quite well.  Check out their
latest adventures on
Matty's Page and Molly's Page.  You can see the whole family's
doings on the
Family photo album.
I know, I know...I've been sadly negligent in updating our website.  During my visit to
California in February, this fact was pointed out to me by various people, and it
motivated me to get working on it--actually I was surprised.  I never really thought
anyone checked up on us!  Thanks for visiting--REALLY!  So, now it's April, 2007, and
I've got a lot of updating to do.  What has happened since July 2006?  Thankfully, not a
whole lot, other than a lot of uneventful things that, if I posted them here, you'd probably
stop checking in with us and think, "sheesh--what a boring life!" But the truth is, it's best
that way at times.  Better than having the IRS picking you out of the pile for an audit and
discovering a $2000 error your accountant made in the government's favor, or
ridiculous lawsuits landing on your doorstep (that was last year!).  This year we've had a
couple of cat instances--Sam went missing for four days, Winnie for two--but aside from
that, the drama has been pretty low-level.  Here are some snapshots of our most recent
"dramatic" moments:
